ATHLETIC BANDS
The UGA Volleyball Band consists of 20 selected brass musicians who
perform at all volleyball home games.
The UGA Basketball Band plays an integral role at all Stegman Coliseum
home games, and is made up of 100 selected brass and saxophone
musicians who rotate as part of the 50-member group present at each
game. The Basketball Band performs at all men’s and women’s home
basketball games, and travels to every SEC & NCAA tournament as a 29-
member group (due to NCAA regulations). The band plays everything from
traditional “pep band music” to classic rock to current hit songs.
Membership in Basketball Band is limited to students who participate
in the Redcoat Marching Band.
