Greetings from the Director:

Welcome to the new University of Georgia Bands website! This is an exciting time of change for the UGA Bands with new faculty, new ideas, a new home for the Redcoats and exciting new initiatives. Ours is one of the finest comprehensive band programs in the nation of which we can be justifiably proud! We strive to be on the cutting edge of the wind band world as we honor our many wonderful traditions.

UGA student musicians at all levels of ability and interest are invited to join the UGA Band family. There are four auditioned bands this spring and two non-auditioned bands. Redcoat 2010 audition weekends have been announced.

Former band members are encouraged to join our very active alumni association. Audience members and friends of the UGA Bands are invited to attend our many spring concerts and to join the UGA Bands new facebook page. High School Bands Directors are invited to attend our upcoming conducting symposium: “Inspiring Musicianship: The Conductor’s Art” April 2-3.
